We have been so busy learning and having fun that we forgot all about our BLOG. When we realized that we have not posted anything since March, we decided to fill you in on what we've been doing.
Well we finally built our fort with Mrs. Pangman. The other day Matt, Emily and Connor came to help us. Our fort is made out of rolled up newspapers and little plastic connectors and masking tape. Thanks for sending in all the newspapers. We sure had fun with this project and thank you Mrs. Pangman for helping us.
In April we learned that "April showers bring May flowers and that Mayflowers bring pilgrims!" We spent our choice time cooking and learning how to measure and mix our ingredients. We made tasty snack foods and even created our own cookbooks, so try our recipes at home they are delicious. Benjamin's favorite thing we made was the blueberry muffins, Izabel liked the fruit smoothies and Ellie what did you like?
During the month of May we are learning about things that live in the ocean. We know that there are four oceans, the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Arctic and the Indian oceans. We have talked about some deep ocean fish such as sharks, seahorses and the deep-sea angler. We have learned about whales and know that they are mammals just like we are. Some whales have baleen and some are toothed and that is how they chew up their food.
Today we went to Ellie's auntie Carol's classroom, she is otherwise known as Mrs. Giles or the "fish lady." We saw two baby chicks that have hatched out of eggs. The chicks are now two days old and we know there are more to come. Ellie decided to name one Unicorn and the other one Rainbow. Izabel decided to name one Fluffy and the other one Peepers. The words used to describe the chicks were, tiny, sooooooo cute, one was fluffy and one wasn't, they are adorable and one even climbed up an arm!!!!!
So now you know what we've been doing and once again we say, "learning is fun."
